I love a good concert. There’s just something about standing in a crowd, hearing live music, and enjoying the atmosphere that you simply can’t get from listening to your favourite songs at home. That’s why I’m really looking forward to this weekend in Yorkton.
The Living Skies Music Festival is bringing an incredible lineup to the Yorkton Exhibition Grandstands, and Friday night is going to be a big one.
Friday is Country Night, and the lineup is packed with some amazing Canadian talent. The evening gets started with Cooper Tropeau, followed by Collect Assembly, Darryl Anderson, Jess Moskaluke before Dallas Smith closes things out.
That is one heck of a country lineup!
Usually, if you wanted to see a collection of artists like that, you would probably have to pack up the car and travel somewhere. This weekend, they’re right here in Yorkton.
And then it starts all over again Saturday night with Rock Night.
We’re talking Econoline Crush, Crash Test Dummies and Big Sugar closing out the night. Another great lineup and another night of live music right here at home.
My wife and I didn’t waste much time buying our tickets. We grabbed them right away because we knew this was something we wanted to be part of. We’re looking forward to getting out for a couple of nights, enjoying some great music and just having a good time together.
I think events like this are exactly what our community needs. It’s exciting to see big Canadian acts coming to Yorkton, and hopefully the Living Skies Music Festival is something we get to see become an annual event at the Yorkton Exhibition Grandstands.
So, if you like live music, get out there and support it. Bring your friends, bring the family, grab your tickets and enjoy a couple of nights of great music.
I can’t wait for the weekend.
Hopefully, we’ll see you there!
Who are you most excited to see?
