Reports from 3DownNation and multiple sources around the Cincinnati Bengals organization indicate that former Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Dohnte Meyers has cracked the Cincinnati Bengals 53-man roster.
Meyers had a stellar pre-season with the Bengals, first attracting attention when he led the Bengals offence with 42 yards from scrimmage in a 16-14 victory over the Detroit Lions in their preseason opener.
After that game, Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow praised Meyers’ work ethic, revealing to the media that Meyers had driven overnight to from Atlanta prior to camp just to have an extra receiving session with the stand-out pivot.
Meyers continued his solid play through the remainder of the preseason, catching 11 passes for 121 yards, getting two carries for 22 yards and adding another 99 yards in punt and kick returns. That final stat might be the deciding factor in if Meyers sticks around for the long-term, as his return abilities are one of the things that initially attracted the Bengals’ interest.
That, and his impressive 2025 campaign that saw Meyers catch 65 passes for 1,056 yards on his way to being named a West Division All-Star.
Initial reports say Meyers will likely be the fourth wide receiver, though things could change in the coming days.
