Wow, did the GX94 listening area ever see some wild weather over the weekend!
Here in Yorkton, we didn’t get hit too hard. My rain gauge recorded just over an inch of rain, which is certainly nothing to complain about considering what some other areas received.
We’ve been hearing reports of lots of rain, hail, and even a few reported tornadoes across the listening area.
Grant from Lemberg told us he received 4.5 inches of rain along with hail on Saturday, followed by another 2 inches of rain on Sunday. That’s a tremendous amount of moisture in just a couple of days!
There were also reports of tornadoes in the Maryfield and Elkhorn areas. Hopefully everyone in those areas made it through safely and without any major damage.
It’s amazing how different the weather can be from one community to the next. One place might get a little rain while another gets absolutely pounded with rain and hail.
