BROADVIEW, Sask. — A new development in the case of a man arrested following an armed confinement and assault on Kahkewistahaw First Nation.
Anthony Kinistino, 44, was in Broadview Provincial Court Sept. 2, where he was committed to stand trial in Yorkton Court of King's Bench at a later date.
On May 27, Broadview RCMP received a report that a woman was being held against her will by an armed man at a residence on Kahkewistahaw First Nation.
Investigators say the woman was assaulted and threatened with a firearm while being prevented from leaving the residence.
