Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris moved into 10th on the CFL's all-time passing list Sunday in a 32-26 over time win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
An eight-yard pass to receiver Daniel Wiebe that resulted in a 72-yard gain in the second quarter of the Labour Day Classic pushed him past Doug Flutie.

Harris said the way the milestone moment played out was symbolic considering all the teammates and coaches who've helped him in his 14-year CFL career.
“It’s poetic,” Harris said. “It’s a turtle on a fencepost situation. If you see a turtle on a fencepost, he didn’t get there on his own. Somebody placed him there. That’s exactly what this is for me.”
The Riders completed the drive with a touchdown to take a 12-3 lead. Harris connected with Quali Conley on a five-yard pass for the major. That was Conley’s first TD reception of his CFL career.

Harris passed for 362 yards and one touchdown against the Bombers on Sunday. He's up to 3,893 yards in 12 games and is on pace for his most productive CFL season at age 40.
“This man is 40 and still slinging the rock like that. Honestly, it’s super cool to see that,” receiver Dhel Duncan-Busby said.
Harris entered the game 127 yards shy of Flutie. He's now at 41,590 yards in his illustrious career and 235 yards clear of Flutie. He's 2,267 yards behind Matt Dunigan for ninth on the list.
“This is an incredible, incredible, incredible job,” Riders coach Corey Mace said. “We're talking the top 10 all time, surpassing obviously a legend in this league. I've been pounding on the table here for three years now that if this man doesn't have a freaking bust somewhere (in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame) whenever he chooses his career is over then I quit coaching football.”
