Mother Nature, you can turn the tap off for a little while! I think we’ve had enough rain for now.
My rain gauge had around an inch and four-tenths of rain, and I know I’m not the only one who is ready for things to dry out a little. I especially feel for all the farmers who are trying to get the crop off. It seems like this harvest is really dragging out, and every rainy day makes it that much tougher to get back into the fields.
I took a look at the long-range forecast, and thankfully it is looking a little more promising, with temperatures expected to get back into the 20s. Hopefully, we can get some sunshine, some heat and a stretch of dry weather to help everyone get caught up.
To all of our farming friends across the GX94 listening area, we’re thinking of you and keeping our fingers crossed for some good harvest weather ahead. Hopefully, Mother Nature gives us a break and lets the combines get rolling again soon!
