KAMSACK, Sask. — The Kamsack Fire Department hosted a fundraising barbecue on Sept. 5, the same day that the community held its postponed Canada Day events.
A total of $1,200 was raised at the barbecue, said Ken Thompson, fire chief.
“We wish to thank all the folks who came out and supported us,” Thompson said.
The department’s next event will be its annual pancake breakfast to be served at the fire hall on Thanksgiving Day, Oct. 12, when the community will be invited to enjoy servings of pancakes and sausages and all the trimmings.
