Wynyard and Melville golfers came away with podium finishes at the 2026 Saskatchewan High School Golf Championships, held Friday and Saturday at Humboldt Golf Club.
Wynyard’s Alyxa Melsted finished second in the girls championship, shooting rounds of 82 and 79 for a two-day total of 161, just one stroke behind champion Grace Odnokon of Saskatoon.
Melville’s Keaton Kreklewich also finished tied for second in the boys championship. The East Central representative followed an opening-round 77 with an impressive 71 on Saturday to finish at 148, four over par.
Kreklewich finished alongside Humboldt’s Tylan Wallin, four shots behind boys champion Shae Maunula of Battle West, who posted a two-day total of 143.
Saskatoon also took home both team titles, winning the boys and girls team championships at the provincial event.
