YORKTON, Sask. — Older adults looking to learn more about programs, services and opportunities available in the region will have a chance to do so at the upcoming Silver Circle Community Expo.
The free event will be held Oct. 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gallagher Centre Convention Place.
Organizers are inviting residents aged 55 and older, along with family members and caregivers, to attend the expo, which is designed to showcase resources and organizations serving seniors in Yorkton and surrounding communities.
The event's theme, Discover. Connect. Thrive., reflects its focus on helping older adults remain active, engaged and informed about opportunities available to them.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from local organizations, gather information on programs and services and learn about ways to stay connected within the community.
The expo is intended to highlight the range of recreational, social, health and community supports available to older adults while providing a venue for residents to ask questions and explore new opportunities.
Admission is free, and visitors are encouraged to bring a friend while discovering what Yorkton and area organizations have to offer people aged 55 and older.
