Finn Werner turned aside all 33 shots he faced to record the shutout as the Flin Flon Bombers bounced back with a 3-0 road win over the Weyburn Red Wings on Wednesday night.
The Bombers were coming off a 4-2 loss in Melville on Tuesday, but responded with a strong second period to secure the victory.
After a scoreless opening frame, Ryan Ulmer broke the deadlock just 2:01 into the second period with what stood as the game-winning goal. Rhett Ewen added a pair of goals to round out the scoring for Flin Flon.
Ethan Berard made 32 saves on 35 shots in the Weyburn net as the Red Wings dropped to 3-2 on the season.
The Bombers have Thursday off before wrapping up their road trip Friday in Estevan and Saturday in Yorkton.
Weyburn returns to the ice Friday night when they host the Nipawin Hawks.
Elsewhere in the SJHL, the Nipawin Hawks picked up their first win of the season, knocking off the La Ronge Ice Wolves 5-2 on the road Wednesday night.
Jack Janzen led the Hawks offensively with two goals and an assist. Mason Karakochuk, Austin Mori-Goodman and Carson Park also found the back of the net, while Ashton Tait chipped in with three assists.
William Knox and Easton Kozak scored for La Ronge in the loss.
Connor Johnson made 25 saves on 27 shots in his second start of the season to earn his first victory in a Hawks uniform.
The Ice Wolves are back in action next Wednesday when they visit the Warman Wolverines.
