The Flin Flon Bombers continue to lead the way in the latest SJHL Power Rankings, but the Warman Wolverines are quickly making a name for themselves with an impressive start to the 2026-27 season.
Flin Flon holds onto the top spot, despite splitting its latest two games. The Bombers dropped a 4-2 decision to the Melville Millionaires on Tuesday before bouncing back with a 3-0 shutout victory over the Weyburn Red Wings on Wednesday. Finn Werner was outstanding in the win, turning aside all 33 shots he faced.
Warman remains second, continuing its early-season surge. The Wolverines have put together a four-game winning streak, reaching several milestones for the franchise along the way. Trey Markus has been a major offensive contributor, while goaltender Luke Brunen has provided a steady presence between the pipes.
Weyburn sits third despite Wednesday's setback against Flin Flon. The Red Wings have shown plenty of offensive firepower early in the campaign, including a productive home-and-home series against Estevan, and will look to get back on track Friday against Nipawin.
Humboldt climbs into fourth following a 5-2 victory over Kindersley on Tuesday. The Broncos have already been involved in several close games, and their ability to collect points in tight situations has been an encouraging sign. Forward Cody Farrell has also emerged as an important contributor early in his SJHL career.
Melville comes in fifth after its win over Flin Flon, showing it can compete with the league's top teams. The Millionaires have had some strong moments early in the season, but finding more offence will be a key focus moving forward.
Yorkton sits sixth, with the Terriers looking to find more consistency from game to game. The defending Bunge Division champions have demonstrated what they can do when everything clicks, but their early results have also shown the importance of putting together complete performances. Jake Briltz and Austin Horbachewsky have provided encouraging offensive contributions.
The Battlefords North Stars rank seventh. Despite having plenty of talent throughout the lineup, the North Stars have had some difficulty stringing together consistent results. A demanding early schedule has presented challenges, but there is enough ability on this roster to turn things around as the season progresses.
Kindersley rounds out the top eight in this week's rankings. The Klippers have shown they can generate offence, including a strong performance against Yorkton, but discipline remains an area to watch. After Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Humboldt, Kindersley is looking to regroup and get back on track in its upcoming games.
The Melfort Mustangs sit ninth, followed by the La Ronge Ice Wolves in 10th. Nipawin moves into 11th after earning its first win of the season with a 5-2 road victory over La Ronge on Wednesday. Estevan remains 12th as the Bruins continue to work toward finding their footing early in the campaign.
