The Ag Transport Coalition reports system order fulfillment performance declined slightly last week, with CN and CPKC Rail combined, supplying 89% of shipper orders.
While overall system performance changed only slightly there was significant divergence in performance for the two railways.
System performance dips below the 90% performance threshold for the first time in five weeks.
In supplying 82% of cars ordered by shippers in week 8, CN saw performance decline from the 90% order fulfillment performance seen in week 7.
CN performance falls below the 90% performance threshold after achieving that mark the previous week for the first time in ten weeks.
Meanwhile, in supplying 96% of shipper orders last week, CPKC performance improved notably from the 89% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week.
CPKC performance returns above the 90% performance threshold for the twentieth time in the last twenty-one weeks.
