A new development in the case of an Ebb & Flow First Nation man, arrested following a high speed chase.
On April 27, Ste. Rose RCMP located a suspect on the reserve, who was wanted for multiple offences.
When they tried to pull his vehicle over, the suspect fled, leading to a chase that saw the driver evade several spike belts, before he stopped in Alonsa.
The suspect attempted to escape into the bush on foot, but was captured with the help of a police dog.
In Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), 23-year-old Blair Racette pleaded guilty to a number of charges, and was sentenced to 12 months in jail.
