REGINA, Sask. — Four Saskatchewan educators are among the 60 recipients of the 2026 Prime Minister's Awards — the country's top honour in education — including a teacher at awâsisak kâ-nîmîhtocik St. Francis School in Saskatoon, a name rooted in Cree language and culture, alongside educators in Carlyle, Tessier and Saskatoon.
Earning the honour are:
- Marylee Morrison-Lees (White Bear Education Complex – Carlyle) – Teaching Excellence (Achievement)
- Amanda Jobb (awâsisak kâ-nîmîhtocik St. Francis School – Saskatoon) – Teaching Excellence (Achievement)
- Natasha Cochran (Willow Park Colony School – Tessier) – Teaching Excellence (Excellence)
- Mayranush (Mana) Harutyunyan (Maggie's Early Learning Centre – Saskatoon) – Excellence in Early Childhood Education (Achievement)
