Well, I’m back from holidays, and what a great six days my wife and I had in Nashville, Tennessee!
It’s been about ten years since I last visited Music City with the GX94 Bus Tours, and this time I got to experience it all over again with my wife, who had never been there before. I’ve been fortunate enough to make three trips to Nashville on our bus tours in the past, so I was excited to show her around and share some of my favourite places.
Of course, there are a few things you just HAVE to do when you visit Nashville! We made sure to check out the Country Music Hall of Fame, and we took in a show at the Grand Ole Opry. What a treat it was to see The Oak Ridge Boys, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, Suzy Bogguss and more. There’s nothing quite like experiencing that kind of talent in a place with so much country music history!
We also spent plenty of time wandering around Lower Broadway, checking out the bars and enjoying the incredible live entertainment. You can walk into just about any place and find talented musicians doing what they love. The energy is amazing, and if you love country music, it’s hard not to get caught up in it all.
Another must-do for me was a tour of the Ryman Auditorium. I’ve been there before, but it never gets old visiting a venue with so much history. There’s something special about standing in a place where so many country music legends have performed over the years.
We certainly got our steps in! We walked miles every day, exploring the city and taking it all in. Thankfully, the weather was beautiful, with temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees every day. You really couldn’t ask for much better weather for a holiday!
Now that we’re home, it’s back to reality and the regular routine. But we’ve got some great memories from our time away, and I’m already thinking about when we might make another trip.
Nashville really is a special place. Whether it’s the music, the history, the entertainment or just the atmosphere of Music City, there’s always something to enjoy.
If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly recommend it. Just make sure you bring comfortable walking shoes!
Six days went by way too quickly, and I can tell you one thing for sure… I can’t wait to go back to Nashville again!
