CANORA, SASK.- “My goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care to support your health and healing.”
Kelly Ivanochko recently celebrated the grand opening of her new Canora business, HMTC (Human Matrix Therapy Centre).
Ivanochko says identifying and addressing the imbalances in body systems is an important part of her work.
“We offer health solutions and options that our clients have come to trust and rely on having access to. There is so much information and adverts being fed to us through social media that it can be incredibly frustrating to navigate and trust.”
Services offered to clients include transformative alchemy, “a holistic healing approach curating an experience that connects and informs the nervous system to signal safety and security, offering a new found permission for the body to release the blockage or resistance in the optima flow of energy.”
Other services available include:
- Health consultation with a natural holistic approach
- Clinical supplements, herbs and treatment protocols
- Theta healing (energy based method of identifying limiting belief systems and clearing them at a cellular level)
- Energy work
- Aromatherapy
Ivanochko was born in Yorkton and raised on an acreage west of Preeceville. As a youngster she enjoyed exploring nature, crafting, performing arts, reading and community service
Her own experiences in dealing with health issues started around the age of five.
“Discovering peppermint oil at about the age of 12 was a life changer when coping with daily migraines,” said Ivanochko. “At 14 I realized I could feel the pain of the people around me and by offering attention to their pain could bring them relief although I had did not understand how or why and had not yet experienced this relief for my own discomforts.”
She said studying natural remedies and trying natural supplements from the health food store available at the time did not seem to help.
“I became frustrated. Intuitively I knew there was some validity in natural options and desperately needed to make sense of my patterns of experience that did not make sense. Years of doctoring and prescriptions seemingly had no answers. My conditions were not only deteriorating they were multiplying and becoming more complex for specialists. The prognosis’ and treatment options doctors offered after 25 years of dedicated searching were more medications to manage new symptoms and prepare for life changing mobility options.
“By this time in my life experience I had completed my first five years of certifications in the energy modalities that I found had miraculous testimonies.”
Ivanochko said she gained new perspectives in healing and what that means for the individual.
“I learned the power of personal choice and although terrified, I felt I had big choices to make in my life. The next 10 years focussed on healing myself and witnessing the healing of others while navigating the experiences of life; trials, loss, trauma, grief.”
Her education includes a degree in human justice from the University of Regina, along with certifications in counselling, crisis intervention, parenting support, addictions, anger management, breath work, meditation, visualization and manifestation.
She is a quantum touch practitioner and teacher, theta healing therapist and teacher, works with access bars, reflexology, hot stone massage, dowsing, aromatherapy, and energy work, chi gong (traditional Chinese method to enhance health and vitality), healing herbs and teaching yoga.
Ivanochko has extensive work experience in a variety of fields, including early days crisis response; and counselling and support positions with Health, Justice and Education, mostly government agencies and non profits.
“Life’s journey focus became my health after being faced with scary options. I moved to Vancouver for a climate change and continued learning and healing another seven years. I enrolled in a yoga teacher program to understand my functional body. Working as a theta healing therapist at Limina spa offered to me two years of next level mentoring, wisdom and practice with other incredible specialists of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, foot care and massage.”
Family connections brought her back to Canora in November 2019.
“I began working at HMTC (then Homeopathic Medical Therapy Clinic) as office manager with Nichol Martinuik. He was looking to expand the level of support we could provide to the community beyond therapy. Mentoring with Nick provided more in-depth knowledge of the power of herbs and nutraceuticals; including quality, efficacy, sourcing and ethics.”
Ivanochko said she is offering customers much more than just a health food store.
“We have clinical third party tested herbal remedies and supplements available to respond to the disease or imbalance in an individual’s constitution and support the healing and repair process.”
She doesn’t have Canora employees at this time, but there is an RMT contractor available to meet the needs of those requesting to access insurance reimbursement.
Ivanochko said there is a lot to enjoy about her work.
“Always learning endless possibilities for transformational healing. Witnessing people find freedom from suffering. Empowering fellow travellers to gain more confidence and understanding of their own bodies and experiences. Offering new perspectives and supporting an individual’s choices and accountability.”
Canora is currently her only business location but sessions are offered via phone as an option, which may be preferable for those who live a significant distance from Canora.
Ivanochko is looking toward the future of HMTC with optimism.
“I believe it will continue to grow with the awareness that we are providing reliable therapy and retail options for supporting overall wellness.”
She reminds Canora residents that she is offering upcoming group classes focused on mindful functional movement of bodies that are tired, overwhelmed, stiff and painful.
