PREECEVILLE, Sask. — Children, parents and grandparents enjoyed spending time together and learning during the Intriguing Minds, Parents and Children Together (IMPACT) program, hosted by Mobile Early Learning East Central Area. The program was overseen by Kim Gelowitz of Mobile Early Learning East Central Area.
The program was hosted at Preeceville School.
The event was aimed at preschool-aged children and their caregivers. The fun, educational and interactive stations featured developmentally appropriate activities designed to help children develop the skills needed for a successful school experience. They also promoted self-awareness, social skills, cognitive skills, language and communication, and physical development.
The theme focused on Little Fall Adventures: Discover Fall on the Farm. The stations engaged children through games, sensory bins, alphabet and reading activities, numeracy and animal crafts. An inflatable barn added to the fun, and children had the opportunity to build and create their own little cardboard barns to take home.
"IMPACT engages children in play, and we are encouraging healthy development," said Gelowitz.
