One of the great pleasures of being an adult is having feet that stop growing. This means you can buy a pair of shoes and keep them for decades. Get peer pressured into playing recreational badminton with a friend? Great, you still have your pair of ‘court shoes’ you got in grade twelve which will provide you a competitive advantage. Rainy? Put on those rubber boots you’ve had for fifteen years even though the rubber on the back heel has split from crouching in them, just don’t dare throw them out for petes sake!
