The numbers from SGI’s October Traffic Safety Spotlight on Impaired Driving are in.
A total of 497 offences were handed out last month alone.
Of the 497, 201 were criminally charged, and 296 received administrative suspension.
Other violations over the month were 763 tickets for distracted driving, 4,338 speeding tickets, and 281 tickets for not wearing a seatbelt.
A reminder that Saskatchewan has zero tolerance for drug-impaired driving, and drivers should not get behind the wheel of a vehicle with any level of impaired drugs in their system.
