I want to give a big shoutout to all of the businesses who participated in this year’s GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook. A big thank you to Garth and Patty from Thirsty Dogz Liquor in Preeceville, Doug Jonassen with Remax Blue Chip Realty in Yorkton, and Julie from the Empty Bobbin in Swan River. They were all major sponsors of the 2023 cookbook. Thank you to Haas Nissan in Yorkton, the Legacy Co-op in Churchbridge and Yorkton, the Legacy Co-op Wine, Spirits, Beer and Liquor store in Yorkton, Gateway Co-op in Canora, Norquay Co-op, the Empty Bobbin in Swan River, RCM Outdoors in Yorkton, Moosomin Pharmasave, and Thirsty Dogz Liquor in Preeceville. Each of these businesses had me in their stores to sell the cookbook. And because of their participation, I now get to travel right back to those communities and make donations this Christmas.
A big thank you as well to every listener who has EVER sent me a recipe. We have been making the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbooks since 2011. That’s a lot of recipes that you have shared with me. It means so much to me. If you would share your recipe with me, that would be so appreciated! What kind of recipe? The one that makes you happy to bake, the one that your kids always ask for during the holidays, the recipe that Grandma perfected and you have now. The special recipes that your family loves, those are the ones I would love to be able to put in our next GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook.
Over the next two weeks I’ll be heading out on the road again to make donations leading up to Christmas. Because as you know 100% of the proceeds raised from the sale of the cookbooks goes right back into the communities! I’m looking forward to that so much.
We have a few more cookbooks left out of the 1000 that we had printed at the beginning of this holiday season. I have them for sale today at GX94, and whatever we have left will come along with me as I hit the road to the Yorkton Exhibition tomorrow for their lottery, to Esterhazy Ford on Friday, and to Haas Nissan in Yorkton, this coming Tuesday.
