New Court Date for Swan River Man Charged in Vehicle Theft and Assault

A Swan River man charged after a vehicle was stolen and a Mountie assaulted in The Pas, has appeared in court again.

In the late evening hours of November 22nd, RCMP received a report of a stolen truck in the town.

Thanks to a GPS unit inside the truck, police were able to track it down, and arrest the driver.

However, when the suspect was being placed in cells, he allegedly assaulted a Mountie.

24-year-old Allan Knight remains in custody, to appear again on January 25th.
