New beds are coming to Dauphin Regional Health Centre.
Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew announced today that construction is underway to add nine new beds as part of a facility-wide renovation project that includes larger spaces to support cancer patients as they receive treatment and care.
The bed expansion is part of a 7.8 million capital investment at the hospital, which included first-floor renovations.
The new beds in Dauphin align with the broader plan to add cuter care beds and staffing at major hospitals in the province.
The renovations are expected to be completed this summer.
