Carson Baptiste scored the game winner just 6 seconds into the 3rd period to lead the Waywayseecappo Wolverines to a 2-1 win over the Swan Valley Stampeders, to complete the weekend sweep of their division rivals.
Lucas Eagle (Waywayseeecappo) and Adam Rajsigl (Swan Valley) exchanged goals for both sides in the 1st period.
Wolverine goaltender Tresor Wotton made 30 saves on 31 shots to pull his team into sole possession of top spot in the West division, one point up on OCN and now three points up on the Stampeders who got 27 stops from Kobe Grant in the loss.
The Stamps’ return to action on Wednesday night entertaining the Dauphin Kings from the Centennial Arena, while Waywayseecappo returns to the ice on Friday night visiting the Winnipeg Blues.
