Yorkton KidSport’s 2024 “Give the Gift of Sport” campaign has wrapped up, aimed at lowering cost barriers, to help local kids take part in their favourite sports.
$9,450 was raised by the 2024 campaign, and Yorkton KidSport chairman Doug Jonassen says that money will all stay in Yorkton, expressing his appreciation to the community for their support.
In 2023, Yorkton KidSport helped a total of 69 kids play their favourite sports, covering just over $25-thousand in registration fees overall.
Jonassen says that while the figures for 2024 are still being finalized, the number of fees paid out for the past year is expected to be much higher.
