The Invermay Golden Age Club held an informative fraud prevention session on Feb. 19, featuring Jacquie Tomblin from Parkland Victim Services and RCMP Constable Bates. The speakers outlined common scams, ways to recognize fraudulent activity, and steps to avoid falling victim to scams.
Attendees actively participated, sharing their experiences and asking questions about various fraud tactics. The session aimed to equip seniors with the knowledge needed to protect themselves from financial exploitation.
Following the presentation, participants enjoyed coffee and snacks while socializing and discussing what they had learned.
