A couple of local products were selected during last night’s 2022 Canadian Football League draft.
Langenburg’s Noah Zerr out of the Saskatchewan Huskies was picked in the 2nd round, 12th overall by the BC Lions, while Yorkton product Peter Kozushka of the Alberta Golden Bears went in the 6th round, 51st overall by the Montreal Alouettes.
The 6’7 Zerr appeared in 30 games over four seasons with the Huskies, starting all but one of those at left tackle.
The Yorkton Raider Gridder alumni will also attend mini-camp with the NFL’s New York Giants later this month.
Meanwhile for Kozushka, a fellow Gridder alumni offensive lineman, just completed his 4th years with Golden Bears as their left tackle.
