A guilty plea has been entered by a Regina man charged with Second Degree Murder, in connection with the death of a Vibank man in March of last year. Yesterday in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench, 26-year-old Anthony Seon pled guilty to the lesser charge of Manslaughter, and was sentenced to ten years in prison, though with credit for 749 days served, he will spend just shy of eight more years behind bars. He also received a lifetime firearm prohibition, and must provide a DNA sample. On the morning of March 7, 2021, police responded to a report of an injured man at a home on the 100-block of St. John Street. The victim, identified as 45-year-old Lawrence Robert Godfrey, was pronounced dead at the scene.
