There are indications the spread of monkeypox in the U.K has started slowing, and that has Canadian health officials cautiously optimistic. Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam says there are early signs os a slowing in new infections, but she says more data will need to be collected before they can verify the trend. As of Wednesday, there were 1,059 confirmed cases in Canada, 3 of them in Saskatchewan.
