A survery is going out to residents of Yorkton.
Mayor Mitch Hippsley states that the city is looking for feedback on the Columbia Park development, which would be a park behind Columbia School.
The survey is online at www.yorkton.ca/columbiaparkdevelopment and the deadline to complete the survey is September 21st.
Also, SARCAN in Yorkton will be accepting more items. Hippsley notes that non-beverage glass items will be accepted at the depot. SARCAN asks that glass items be placed in a box instead of a bag while being transported to the depot.
And a quick reminder that the Terry Fox Run in Yorkton is coming up next Sunday, September 18. Hippsley says it will begin at Royal Ford with registration at 12:30 p.m. and the run itself at 1 p.m. with refreshments to follow. Volunteers are needed, so if interested, call 306-621-4263.
The funds raised from the run will be used to support cancer initiatives.
