Hunters in Saskatchewan are reminded to be mindful of their equipment. Saskatchewan RCMP note that each year, Mounties receive reports of firearms, ammunition and other related items stolen from vehicles during the hunting season. Over the long weekend, a theft of a firearm was reported in northeastern Saskatchewan, while some hunting equipment was stolen from Yorkton, both from unoccupied vehicles. The RCMP reminds hunters to take precautions to prevent damage to their vehicles and theft of any firearms or equipment.
