Swan River RCMP arrested a man while on patrol in Minitonas.
On Sunday, the officer spotted a vehicle parked in front of a Main Street business, containing a driver that the officer recognized as being prohibited from driving.
A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was found in possession of cocaine, and a further investigation determined that he was responsible for a theft of gas from a Swan River business on October 3rd.
31-year-old Randy Dietz of Minitonas faces five charges, and he was remanded in custody.
