A Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation man has made his first court appearance, on a charge of First Degree Murder.
20-year-old Ernie Blacksmith has been remanded in custody to Brandon Court on December 12th.
On Saturday, Virden RCMP received a report of a disturbance at home on the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation.
They found a 30-year-old woman with serious injuries, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
