SGI’s traffic safety spotlight for February was on speeding and a number of drivers in Saskatchewan were caught going over the speed limit
Spokesperson Tyler McMurchy notes that speeding is typically the most ticketed offence in the province.
4,251 drivers were caught speeding in Saskatchewan in February, which including 164 exceeding the limit by more than 35-km/hr, and 35 by more than 50km/hr.
613 tickets were also issued for distracted driving, 416 for seatbelt infractions, while 342 impaired drivers were taken off the road.
