High to extreme fire danger levels has forced the Manitoba government to take extensive fire precautions.
All provincial burning permits have been cancelled and no new permits will be issued until conditions improve.
As well in many parts of the province, campfires are not permitted, and travel permits are required for back-country travel.
116 wildfires are active across Manitoba, including a 22-hundred hectare fire burning out of control about 35-kilometres east of Minitonas.
