- As of September 28th, there are 449 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 66,343 reported cases
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (20), Far North Central (2), Far North East (23), North West (72), North Central (38), North East (10), Saskatoon (103), Central West (11), Central East (15), Regina (48), South West (22), South Central (27) and South East (25) zones and 33 new cases have pending residence information
- 15 cases with pending residence information were reassigned to Far North West (from September 12 (1), September 26 (1)), Far North East (from September 26 (1)), North West (from September 26 (2)), North Central (from September 9 (1), September 23 (1), September 25 (1)), Saskatoon (from September 26 (1)), Central East (from September 15 (1), September 26 (1)), Regina (from September 25 (1), September 26 (1)), South Central (from September 25 (1)), South East (from September 26 (1)) zones.
- Three (3) duplicate cases have been removed from North Central zone (from September 20, 2021)

- 4,734 cases are considered active and 60,927 cases are considered recovered
- Nearly one-third (31%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39
- One in six (16.8%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated
- As of September 28th, a total of 311 individuals are hospitalized; including 246 inpatient hospitalizations, and 65 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 311 patients eligible for vaccination, 240 (77.2%) were not fully vaccinated.
- Ten (10) new deaths reported today. 682 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.0
- 1,126,070 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of September 26th, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 947,588 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,131,581 tests performed per million.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers is 472 (39.2 new cases per 100,000).
