Manitoba reported 78 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
Of the new cases, 31 are located in the South, 20 in Winnipeg, 11 in Prairie Mountain, and 8 each in the Interlake-Eastern and Northern Health Regions.
By vaccination status, 55 cases are not vaccinated, 6 are partially vaccinated, and 17 are fully-vaccinated, according to Manitoba’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
Fifteen cases have been removed due to data correction, bringing the provincial total to 60,628.
A total of 92 Manitobans are in hospital, including 12 in ICU, and a total of 58,705 people have recovered from COVID-19.
Active cases in the province are at 712, including 101 in the Prairie Mountain Health Region.
Manitoba noted two deaths due to COVID-19 from Tuesday: a woman in her 70s from the South, linked to an unspecified variant of concern, and a woman in her 80s also from the South, and also linked to an unspecified variant of concern. No new deaths for today (Fri). The total number of deaths is 1,211.
Since Tuesday, the province has recorded 349 new cases of the virus: 42 cases on Tuesday, Sept. 28; 114 cases on Wednesday, Sept. 29; 115 cases on Thursday, Sept. 30; and 78 cases today.
An additional 3,209 laboratory tests were completed yesterday (Thurs), bringing the total number of lab tests completed since early February 2020 to 1,005,687.
Manitoba’s test positivity rate is 3 percent.
