A Saskatchewan farmer is attending the COP26 Climate Conference in Glasgow, Scotland.
Glenn Wright is a member of the National Farmers Union, and he hopes progress can be made to reduce carbon emissions, because he believes the climate situation is more dire than ever before.
The Delisle area farmer, who is also a lawyer, points to this summer’s extreme drought in Western Canada as an example.
Wright says all countries need to do some “heavy lifting,’’ and accelerate the transition from fossil fuels.
