Impaired driving is the focus of SGI’s December Traffic Spotlight.
In 2020 there were 36 fatalities due to impaired driving in Saskatchewan.
SGI’s Tyler McMurchy says the numbers are improving but more work needs to be done.
During last year’s holiday season there were 3 deaths and 44 injuries due to impaired driving related collisions.
McMurchy adds there is also the aftermath of the offence that has to be consider which includes court and lawyer fees along with fines and possible jail time.
