The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has been detected in Saskatchewan. 4 people have screened positive for the variant, and they are all members of the same household. The Ministry of Health said they had recently travelled to one of the ten countries Canada has recently placed heavy travel and quarantine restrictions in an effort to slow the new variant’s spread.
