My wife has fine tuned her turkey chili recipe for the past 16 years and has nailed it.
Turkey Chili
Step 1 – Cook in a soup pot:
2 tsp – olive oil
1 lb ground turkey
3 minced garlic cloves
1 chopped yellow onion
1 chopped red pepper
Step 2 – add to the pot and mix:
a pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tsp – oregano
2 tbsp – chili powder
1/2 tsp – salt
1 tsp – cumin
2 cans of kidney beans
1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
1 1/4 cups of chicken broth
simmer on medium heat for 30 – 45 minutes.
