Although there’s been some moderation in the windchill from earlier today, extreme cold warnings continue for many parts of the area including Yorkton, Dauphin, Melville and Russell.
An Arctic ridge of high pressure building over the Prairies has ushered in a cold air mass, with windchills of minus 40 this reported in several areas this morning.
Similar wind chills are likely again tonight into tomorrow morning.
