A Redvers Man Has Pleaded Guilty To Child Pornography Charges

A Redvers man accused of possessing and accessing child pornography, has entered a guilty plea. In Carlyle Provincial Court on Wednesday, 47-year-old Vernon Zelionka pled guilty to Possession of Child Pornography, with sentencing set for March 22nd. He still faces one count of Accessing Child Pornography, which will also be up in court that day. Police began an investigation in August of 2020, into the accessing of child pornography through file sharing networks. In October of 2020, they searched a home in Redvers, where child pornography was located, and two computers and a mobile phone were seized for further analysis.
