A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting on the Keeseekoowenin First Nation, is now in custody.
52-year-old Frank La Forge, of Keeseekoowenin, was wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder, and Manitoba RCMP say he turned himself in to Mounties in Winnipeg on Aug. 11, when he was arrested and charged.
The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on July 28 , when officers responded to reports of a shooting. A 33-year-old woman died at the scene, while a 26-year-old man was airlifted to hospital, though he has since been released.
