The Swan Valley Stampeders had their record drop to 1 and 1 on the season after 7-0 road loss on Saturday night to the Dauphin Kings.
Ethan Stewart scored twice to lead the way for the Kings, who got singles from Cam Jansa, Rylan Gage, Nicholas Zaharias, Joey Kubas and Kale Pratte.
Bryson Yaschyshyn stopped all 33 shots he faced for the shutout, while Stampeders starter Samuel Bastien allowed seven goals on 43 shots in the loss.
The Stampeders return to action on Friday night when they start a two game road trip in Selkirk before battling the Winnipeg Blues on Saturday night.
