“We’re proud to support the next generation of ag leaders, and we want to thank everyone who applied and shared their goals with us. Your passion and effort don’t go unnoticed,” said Lindgren Farms.
"At Lindgren Farms, we take pride in more than just our agricultural endeavours; we are deeply committed to nurturing the community that has supported us for generations. Growing Forward is a transformative community-led agriculture project situated right here on Lindgren Farms in Norquay, Saskatchewan."
The scholarship aims to assist passionate Grade 12 high school graduates who are eager to make a difference in agriculture.
"Our mission is simple but powerful — to cultivate a better future for our community. We achieve this by directing a portion of our farm's grain proceeds toward funding local initiatives that enhance the lives of Norquay's residents. We have earmarked 80 acres as the Growing Forward field. In collaboration with the local community and supporters, we are creating a sustainable cycle of growth and giving that fosters prosperity for all.
"Growing Forward will have a profound and positive impact on our local community. It is directly contributing to funding essential local community initiatives that focus on three primary areas: community improvements to Norquay, education projects, and scholarships. We are excited to offer six $1,000 scholarships to the surrounding communities.
"Our unique approach fosters a strong sense of belonging and community pride, as Lindgren Farms and our project supporters actively engage in nurturing the very community that means so much to us," concluded Jennifer Lindgren.
