CANORA – Sept. 16 was Co-op Fuel Good Day, and with every fill at Gateway Co-op full-serve pump locations in Buchanan, Canora and Preeceville, 10 cents per litre was to be donated towards community organizations in Buchanan, Canora, Preeceville and Sturgis. These groups were also supported by barbecues held at the Gateway locations.
On Fuel Good Day the weather was generally warm and sunny, which seemed to encourage area residents to show their support.
“We raised over $6,800 for the following groups: Buchanan Community Centre, Assiniboine Archery Club of Canora, Preeceville Long Term Auxiliary, and 123 Care For Me Child Care of Sturgis,” reported Gateway Co-op General Manager Brad Chambers.
