There were no changes to the pulse numbers for 2025/26 in the October supply and demand report from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on Oct. 17.
So far it has translated into Western Canadian pulse prices holding steady.
However, news out of India could turn into a bearish influence in the months to come.
Production of 2025/26 Canadian dry peas remained at 3.56 million tonnes, with exports staying at 2.2 million and domestic use holding at 672,000.
That also meant AAFC kept ending stocks at 1.2 million tonnes.
Lentils as well were unchanged, with production at 2.97 million tonnes, exports of 2.1 million, domestic use at 351,000 and the carryover at nearly 1.15 million.
The dry bean harvest was kept at 352,000 tonnes, exports at 380,000, domestic use at 62,000 for a carryout of 20,000.
AAFC held chickpea output at 331,000 tonnes with exports of 200,000, domestic use of 88,000 and ending stocks of 145,000 tonnes.
