CANORA – After working his way through minor hockey in his home town of Montmartre, and later in Regina with the U18AAA Pats, Adam Herold was a high pick in the WHL midget draft by the Prince Albert Raiders.
With that in mind, organizers of Adam Herold Legacy Foundation weekend in Canora had top level instructors on the ice to working with minor hockey players all the way up to the U18 level to improve their skills.
“We’re trying to do some instructing that small-town kids don’t always get,” said Russell Herold, Adam’s dad. “We start out with power skating, then move into skill instruction. We finish off with scrimmages, that’s always fun for the kids. Plus they get a chance to put into practice what they’ve been taught.”
