YORKTON — The social action committee at St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton is once again organizing its annual Giving Tree Project, which the group says is a tradition of sharing love and support during the Christmas season.
“We are looking for nominations of individuals, children or families in the Yorkton community who may need a Christmas gift or gift basket this year. If you know someone who could use a little extra joy, we invite you to submit their name and details,” the committee said in an email.
Recipients must live in the Yorkton area, and be experiencing financial hardship or special circumstances. The application must also include the number of family members and their ages, and provide a simple wish list of three to five small items.
The nominee must also consent to the application.
