I think I need a new phone for Christmas! Just a little fuzzy but can you see yourself in the crowd at the Hunter Brothers concert this past Sunday night? It was a packed house at the Anne Portnuff Theatre! What a show they put on!
Shantaia opened up the night. Backstage we talked about how both of our names are actually real, Tonya Cherry & Shantaia, of course complimented each other (as ladies tend to do) on our outfits and hair, and chatted about the song she wrote for her husband when they got married. It’s one thing to hear a singer and song on the radio, but there’s nothing like live. Her voice is so powerful, such a great entertainer! A little backstage view!
@gx94radio Live in concert is a whole new experience! Love @Shantaia Tonya Cherry #countryconcert
And then THESE GUYS! Man, the Hunter Brothers! My first time getting to meet them. 5 brothers, all a good 2 heads taller than me (I mean, I know I am short, but dang they are tall). No hand shakes, everyone went in for a hug when I introduced myself, with huge smiles on their faces, with genuine interest and joy in meeting me. I’m assuming this is how they treat everyone, which is really cool.
Hey EVAN! They even remembered the salt block. When I introduced myself and that I was from GX94, first thing they said was, “Isn’t that where we licked the salt block?” Yes, yes it was. The good ole’ days before Covid.
On stage, they were electric! Entertaining, funny, so much energy! Such a great concert! I’ve always been a fan of there’s, but I’m next level now.
@gx94radio What a night in Yorkton with the @Hunter Brothers #countryroad #homegrown saskatchewan. Tonya Cherry
